Nothing, because whales are freaking huge. I had a dream that I do not remember all of the details on but I am going to post all the cool fun stuff that I do remember.
A vast city lay before me like that seen in a movie depicting Italy. With old architecture of the similar tan'ish colour. Waterways with bridges going over them and water of the clearest blue. In the middle of the city there lay a large fountain and on the outskirts there lay an old abandoned wooden construct, like a watermill and beyond that seemed like the ends of the Earth. A straight plummet down a hundred feet or so into a never-ending sea of deep blue. It was a whale parade on this lovely summer day and that means that the whales were going to travel through the waterways and into the ocean.
For some odd reason people believed these whales were the coolest thing ever. As if they never see them until that part of the year. I was with my friend, Ronnie, and we were walking by when all of the sudden the first whale appeared out of nowhere. It was an orca (yes, I know orcas are dolphins and not in-fact whales). It propelled itself out of the water and over a bridge then I remember fearing for Ronnie's life. She wanted to see more and started to follow them and jumped into the water. I started chasing after her on land and she was definitely able to swim really fast. People started gathering and more people were now in the water, but running instead of swimming. They were running with this pod of orcas who were just swimming around and jumping out of the water every once in a while. I finally was able to catch up to Ronnie in the middle of the city at the fountain as it acted like a roundabout. Somehow I ended up at the abandoned building and I was all by myself. The parade was still going on in the main portion of the city and whales were jumping into the ocean and passing me by. I looked out at the ocean and a whale so massive started to surface from the ocean. Its tail was large enough to reach out of the water and be seen at eye level on the mainland. This whale was just casually swimming by and there was a numinous feeling. I could not fathom something as massive as that whale but it was there. My heart was pounding with such intensity. I felt heavy and light; I felt enlightened but curious; I felt happy but terrified.
I long to see something like that in my life. Something that simply takes my breath away and makes me experience a multitude of emotions all at once. Something that perks my curiosity so greatly that I want more. Something that I could not fully understand. That was my dream. Sorry it was such a short one and that I haven't written one in too long. I need to keep better track of things like this.
